However, a few weeks ago I was sitting at the train station waiting for a ride, and pulled out my cell phone, which, through no fault of my own, has a camera on it. So I started to fool around, and I realized the immense possibilities that such a device could allow.
The idea is that, in photography, you find your subject, then use your equipment to set up for and take the shot. But with a terrible camera, like one in a cell phone, the only control you have is the subject. No flash, no manual focus, no zoom. So the art moves away from the technical side and becomes solely that of capturing the subject in the raw.
Hence the grainy and imperfect shots I have been posting of late. I hope you see the beauty as I do.
